What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, also called talk therapy, refers to various types of therapies that involve speaking with a psychologist, counsellor, or other qualified professional. It can be conducted online or in person and is suitable for individuals, couples, groups, and families. People typically seek psychotherapy to address psychological, emotional, or behavioural issues that affect their mental health and well-being. Sessions can also be used for self-exploration, personal growth, and improving skills like problem-solving and social interaction.

At Counseling Perspective, we offer a range of psychotherapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Transactional Analysis, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). These therapies are effective in treating mood disorders like depression, anxiety disorders such as OCD, chronic stress, and anger issues. If you’re interested in psychotherapy, please reach out via email, phone, or WhatsApp to book an appointment with one of our experienced counsellors.
