BIOGRAPHY

Lilian Lee-Cutts

Counselor & Psychotherapist

Lili is originally from the UK and is exceptionally warm, approachable and committed in her working style with clients. She understands that talking about our deepest fears and challenges can be overwhelming, so she places a huge emphasis on creating a safe, comfortable space for her clients, bringing a healthy sprinkling of humor and straight talking to the proceedings.

Lili works in an integrative way, which means using both traditional talking therapies such as Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as somatic therapies such as attachment focused-EMDR to heal clients in a truly comprehensive way. This approach enables her to view clients as a ‘whole person’, recognizing the interconnectedness of body, nervous system, emotions, and thoughts. This roots and branches approach leads clients to achieve real-life change that is lasting.

Attachment theory is a cornerstone of Lili’s work as understanding this is paramount to healing. In sessions, she will build out an understanding of the client's childhood attachment style to better formulate interventions to tackle relationship stress, emotional distress and dysregulation. She is culturally and trauma informed and has helped a hugely diverse range of clients in Singapore to feel better, discovering coping strategies to manage current challenges and to develop stronger relationships with self and other people.

She supports adults, teens and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, life, academic and work stress, interpersonal issues, shame, low self-esteem, phobia, trauma, loss, adjustment to change, major life transitions.

Lili offers counseling in English, both in person at Raffles Place, Oasis and Joo Chiat and also online.

Counseling Perspective

Client Testimonials

When I first came to Lili, I had been seeking counseling support with a focus on family planning, childhood trauma and cultural diversity awareness. Lili ticked all the boxes when it came to her experience and insight - and I found even more as we started my sessions together. She gave me clear and digestible information and guidance in the key areas I was seeking help for. I am so grateful to have met her when I did - as events in my personal life started to crumble and I needed the help more than ever. Lili’s support was hugely instrumental during this period of time. During this rocky and stressful period of time, Lili gave her time flexibly and generously for multiple sessions when I needed them. I felt good knowing she was there as and when the support was needed, picking up just where we left off. Consistently creating a safe space for me to communicate and walk away feeling refreshed and truly heard. Something I really appreciated from Lili was her high level of empathy, emotional understanding, affirmation and guidance towards having self compassion which are all qualities that helped me feel truly better understood. I am continuing this journey of healing my childhood traumas and developing skills such as self compassion, as our family planning dreams become a reality!

A counselor who goes above and beyond: I first started seeing Lili for help with my prenatal anxieties. Lili has been a great source of support throughout my pre and post natal journey and has helped me to see how my past traumas contribute to my current anxiety and fears. With this understanding of myself and with Lili’s ongoing help, I’m better able to grow as a person and to take steps towards positive changes in my life. Lili has also shared many practical tips to help me deal with my anxieties. She has gone above and beyond to seek out appropriate, user-friendly meditation tracks for me that were specific to the problems that I have been suffering.
