Vanessa tailors her approach to the needs of each individual. Creating a warm and safe space, she uses evidence-based tools from different coaching and therapeutic methodologies (ex. Solution Focus, Person Centered, CBT, and Positive Psychology interventions). Her style is goal oriented, and works with daily life issues and transitions that sometimes bring stress, anxiety or depression. She will help explore non useful thinking patterns and behaviors that are limiting potential and are not letting you live the kind of life you would like to live.

BIOGRAPHY

Vanessa believes that every person has untapped resources and strengths that can serve the client’s purpose. As an Ontological coach, she uses the dimensions of language, body and emotions as different paths to address the presenting issue.

As a career coach, she has worked with executives from small companies to global corporations, developing their leadership skills, identifying and achieving career goals, and supporting them through transitions. Her background in business consulting facilitates her understanding of the challenges her clients face in the business world. When she was a consultant in strategy and organization in a global firm, she was introduced to coaching as a tool for cultural change and implementation of new organization structures. That is how she found her new calling.

She was born in Mexico City, has lived in the US, France and in Singapore for 11 years. Each experience abroad was in a different stage of her life, so she has experienced firsthand different challenges of the expat life. She is particularly conscious of the influence of culture and values in the counseling process. This builds up her interest in expat counseling.

Vanessa is fluent in Spanish and English and speaks basic French, practices in person or online.
